As an avid nature lover and photographer, I’ve spent countless hours on Instagram, captivated by Madeira’s impressive cliffs, lush forests, and endless ocean views. But exploring the island digitally is nothing compared to actually being there. Experiencing the island itself is like stepping into another world, a world where the colors are sharper, the air smells sweeter, and the light seems to dance differently. Madeira shouldn’t just be seen; it should be felt.

Day 7: North Coast Gems and Mystical Forests

The PR9 Levada do Caldeirão Verde walk is one of those experiences that truly brings you to life. Moss-covered ferns, tunnels through rocks, waterfalls singing in every direction. I felt like I’d stepped into a green cathedral. Narrow paths led to small encounters with hikers from all over the world, where we smiled at our shared excitement and balance.

The sunset at Miradouro do Ponta da Ladeira left me spellbound, the golden hour transforming cliffs and forests into layers of flame and shadow.
